SCCT GLOBAL 2024 – our coronary artery calcification scoring algorithm

Top clinicians and researchers in the field of cardiovascular computed tomography (CT) are taking part in a meeting where they are presenting groundbreaking research, sharing their visions for the future, and demonstrating how these advances can lead to improved patient care.

The conference, SCCT GLOBAL 2024, is being held in Budapest and will continue until January 19, 2024. The event is organized by the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.

SCCT GLOBAL 2024 conference – our contribution

We are excited to attend this event, as it presents a fantastic opportunity to share our experiences, connect with intriguing individuals, and expand our knowledge base.

On Thursday, January 18th, there will be a display of a poster on the topic “Highly Accurate Multi-Vendor AI-Based Algorithm for Coronary Artery Calcium Scoring”. The poster will be presented by Karol Miszalski-Jamka, PhD, MD, who is the Head of Medical Design at Graylight Imaging. He is an expert in cardiovascular imaging and artificial intelligence.

about our coronary artery calcification scoring algorithm

AI-based coronary artery calcification scoring algorithm

The poster focuses on the results of artificial intelligence (AI)-based coronary artery calcification (CAC) scoring algorithm applied to cardiac computed tomography (CT) scans can standardize image interpretation and quantification as well as improve clinical efficiency and accuracy. Graylight Imaging experts have been developing the algorithm for several years.

We invite you to read the conference poster and ask Karol Miszalski-Jamka any questions about the algorithm’s results.

Karol Miszalski-Jamka, PhD, MD, Head of Medical Design in Graylight Imaging is a certified cardiologist with a particular focus on cardiovascular imaging and artificial intelligence. He received training at various renowned institutions, including the Silesian Center for Heart Disease in Zabrze, the Maria Sklodowska-Curie National Institute of Oncology in Gliwice, St-Marien-Hospital in Bonn, Germany, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA. He previously served as the Chairman of the CMR and CT Working Group at the Polish Society of Cardiology. Karol has been a featured speaker at over 60 scientific conferences on cardiovascular imaging. His overarching goal has always been to integrate cutting-edge research into global clinical practices. At Graylight Imaging, he contributes expert support in the field of cardiovascular imaging.
