BRIGHTER imaging: our first proprietary product is ready!

At Graylight Imaging, there was a pivotal moment when all the building blocks we had gathered over the years – knowledge, experience, relationships, countless meetings, and even more lines of code – came together. We created something tangible that we can proudly present to the world and say, “It’s ours.”

After years of dedicated work developing advanced software and algorithms for medical imaging in many different business setups, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our own product brand: BRIGHTER.

Where did it all come from?

Graylight Imaging is a company where passionate individuals with diverse specialties collaborate – software development engineers, quality assurance engineers, scientists, clinicians, and business development specialists. Through partnerships with institutions like the National Oncology Institute of Maria Sklodowska-Curie in Gliwice, we gained valuable insights into today’s real-world clinical needs. Instead of making assumptions, we’ve listened and concluded from our experiences.

Our teams have spent years developing AI algorithms that assist doctors in analysing medical images across various fields, including cardiology, oncology, and research projects. This experience, paired with a deep understanding of the challenges doctors face in the 21st century, has empowered us to take this important next step.

Streaming for clinicians

BRIGHTER is not just another DICOM viewer. It is a modern, modular, and browser-accessible platform that functions more like a streaming service than traditional computer application, build specifically for interaction with AI assisted radiology images. It enables the fast and secure transmission of medical data, no matter where the doctor is located. With BRIGHTER, doctors can access medical images with the same ease that viewers have when enjoying content on popular movie platforms – all without having to download files to a local drive or waiting for data synchronisation, while adhering to the highest standards of data protection. While the goal of the BRIGHTER platform is to be a gateway to AI algorithms, its design features provide value by itself – as a radiology console. 

Addressing daily challenges

With BRIGHTER, doctors can not only view images in their browser but also collaborate in real time, conduct e-consultations, and analyze patients data in real time together with other specialists, without needing to meet in person. The platform features an intuitive interface and AI assistance, helping to automate time-consuming tasks so that clinicians can concentrate on what matters most: their patients and accurate diagnoses.

BRIGHTER is our response to the everyday challenges faced by medical professionals. It represents a nod to modern medicine, which, despite becoming increasingly digital, still relies on human knowledge, intuition, and experience. This is precisely where BRIGHTER aims to provide support.

In the big debate of will AI replace humanity, we bet on humans. As with every other technology in the past – best outcome is to have technology which serves people. With that in mind – BRIGHTER was designed to be radiologists’ gateway to AI tools. To be a silent partner in the diagnostic process – reliable, unobtrusive, and irreplaceable.

BRIGHTER: a vision for the future

When we decided to launch our product, we recognized that while functionality was important, the story behind it was equally significant. From the very beginning, we envisioned BRIGHTER as more than just a medical imaging platform; it was designed to represent a step toward modern, intelligent diagnostics. It is a conscious choice for those who aspire to work faster, safer, and more efficiently.

Our commitment to this vision extended to the product’s image. We wanted to ensure that every element, from the name to the logo to the visuals, accurately reflected the core values of BRIGHTER. Our goal was not merely to create something visually appealing (although we do appreciate well-designed items), but to communicate the value our product brings to doctors in their daily practice.

An image with meaning

The concept of BRIGHTER centres on clarity, both literally and symbolically. Clarity of image is vital, especially when working with medical imagery. Clarity of interpretation is essential, since artificial intelligence enhances the speed and accuracy of diagnoses. Clarity of operation is crucial, as the platform is designed to be intuitive, user-friendly, and free of unnecessary steps. Ultimately, BRIGHTER symbolises a brighter future for radiology and serves as genuine support in the diagnostic process.

The ray of light and brightness is also reflected in the BRIGHTER logo. However, that’s not all. BRIGHTER is a Graylight Imaging product, so its visual identity had to connect with our brand’s DNA. This is why we incorporated the magenta, characteristic of GLI, and the white frame element, which are hallmarks of our brand.

The next chapter of the story

The next chapter of the story begins today with the launch of BRIGHTER. We believe it will become a true support for clinicians, not only in terms of technology but also emotionally. Knowing that you have a tool at your disposal that operates easily and wherever you need it offers something invaluable: a sense of support.
